The purpose of this study is to investigate the significance of different characteristics and competencies possessed by agricultural workers on the basis of assessment through agricultural managers in the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Although the character of countryside is still changing as a consequence of the historical development, agriculture (farming of the land) always represents one of its essential attributes. The authors of this paper analyze the current structure of agricultural workers, their views, opinions and attitudes toward their work, as well as the perception of agriculture by the public.

Family farm inheritance in Slavonia region, Croatia

The aim of the study was to determine the chances of the Slavonian family farms for social reproduction in the next generation and to determine attitudes of farmers towards some aspects of family farm inheritance and the possible ways of preventing the division of land. The research was carried out on a sample of 202 family farms. The analysis showed that the chances to remain as integral production units in the next generation are realistic for only 48% of family farms. Effects of the nutritional labels use on healthy eating habits in Spain

This study aims at testing a theoretical model explaining why people follow healthy eating habits and in particular to identify how the nutritional labels use influences this behavioural pattern. The results indicate that the individuals who utilise more often the nutritional labels follow healthier eating habits, such as avoiding snacking between meals, a lower intake of salt and avoiding the fat intake.
