Rates of employment and unemployment in the EU and the associated countries of the EU

The paper is focused on the evaluation of the rates of employment and unemployment of women, men and in total in the EU, in associated countries of EU and for comparison in the USA and Japan. Rates of employment in the EU 15 together were evaluated in the period 1993-2002, in the associated states of the EU together in the period 1997-2002 and in the Czech Republic in the period 1998-2003. Methodology and analysis of employee structure and remuneration

The paper deals with forming of methodology overview, which could be used for an analysis of employee structure linked to differentiation of remuneration in an enterprise. It suggests an age structure, a structure according to education and qualification, number of employees, permanent state, fiscal state, paid state. The wage differentiation analysis comes from the calculation of month wage and series of quantiles indicators.

Income elasticity of food expenditures of the average Czech household

The paper was focused on the quantitative research of the income elasticity in the field of the food expenditures within the consumer bundle of the average Czech household between 1995 and 2002. The quantitative analysis of the elasticity was based on the system of the nine one-equation regression models of the demands. Influence of price level of imported wine on competition in the wine-production sector in the Czech Republic

The paper is a part of solution of the grant awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture (NAZV) No. QF 3276 and analyzes the influence of the price level of imported bottled wine on the competition in the wine-production sector in the Czech Republic. Consumer habits in the Czech wine market

The paper includes partial results of the research oriented on the habits and behaviour of consumers in the wine market in the Czech Republic. Based on direct questioning of 1 000 respondents from the whole Czech Republic, we found that 11.3% of respondents drink wine several times a week, 29.8% of respondents at least once a week, and 23.2% drink wine several times a month.
